Style with a message of Hope in Christ

Hope, Peace, Joy, Love

We celebrate hope, peace, joy, and love…which God sent with Christ. Which of these is most important to you?

It may be hard for you to choose. It’s hard for me. They all seem to go hand-in-hand. Because of Christ I have all four of these. But, Christ died for me because He loved me. And if He didn’t love me, He most certainly would not have died for me. Therefore, I would say love is the most important to me.m (A Christian store that represents You and Your Faith.)

Unto us a child is born. – Isaiah 9:6

Down through history, God provided us a roadmap. He foretold various signs and conditions through His prophets. These prophets spoke of things that mankind should watch for so that the Messiah would be recognized and believed. These signs or prophecies were given to us in the Old Testament. The Old Testament is the part of the Bible written before Jesus was born. Its writings were completed in 450 B.C. The Old Testament, written hundreds of years before Jesus’ birth, contains over 300 prophecies that Jesus fulfilled through His life, death and resurrection.

Mathematically speaking, the odds of anyone fulfilling this amount of prophecy are staggering. Mathematicians put it this way:

1 person fulfilling 8 prophecies: 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 1 person fulfilling 48 prophecies: 1 chance in 10 to the 157th power 1 person fulfilling 300+ prophecies: Only Jesus!

It is the magnificent detail of these prophecies that mark the Bible as the inspired Word of God. Only God could foreknow and accomplish all that was written about the Christ. This historical accuracy and reliability sets the Bible apart from any other book or record. (

I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. – Luke 2:10

Interesting thought: If you look at many of the Biblical accounts which describe an angel’s visit to someone in-order to give them a message from God, most start with a phrase similar to: Do not be afraid! If an angels appearance is so overwhelming that we are told to not be terrified; what must God’s appearance be like? Is it possible we can not see Him because we can not handel it.

Either way, I am thankful for this message God sent to the shepherds thru His angels. Good News, Great Joy and for All People. It’s the same message we now have to share with others. Who will you share it with today? (Christmas Gift location for Christians)

Light of the World

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Jesus is the light of the world. We carry His light that we might share Him with others. On these busy days don’t forget to shine Jesus’ light for all to see. Even if someone cuts you off in traffic or butts in front of you in line. Turn the other cheek. Smile. And live for Jesus.

We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son. – John 1:14

On of my favorite songs, and is very appropriate for this time of year, is Lauren Daigle’s “Light of the World”. You can see it here. I have been challenged recently, more than once, to re-evaluate how I worship. Making God my audience as I worship Him in song, prayer, speech and actions. When God is our audience and the only one we are trying to impress, He receives all the GLORY! This is my goal.

Born Is The King

Born to bring us new life!

Jesus Christ was born to be King. His salvation and His Kingdom apply to present-world problems. But His kingship also has future implications. The sovereignty of Jesus Christ extends in an unbroken line throughout the ages. Hidden from view now, He will come again, according to the Scriptures, in God’s time, and He will reign in righteousness. (By Billy Graham, December 23, 2013)

When Christmas Plays Collide

The war between Jesus and Santa begin as we start this Christmas Season. However, most of our Christmas traditions started out with a basis of faith in Jesus. Here are some examples:

The word “Christmas” came from when Christians would have a Mass or Communion celebrating Christ. It was called “Christ’s Mass” thus we get our word Christmas.

We don’t know Jesus’ birthday. But, during the Roman empire they celebrated the shortest day of the year partying and worshiping idols, especially the god of the sun. This day was December 25th. Then the Roman empire started following God and becoming Christians. They decided to keep the celebration, but instead of worshiping the god of the sun, they would celebrate God’s Son, Jesus. Thus, we keep this tradition today and celebrate Jesus’ birthday on December 25th.

Martin Luther was the first to add lights to Christmas trees; he did so to point to Jesus as the “light of the world” (John 8:12).

Holly wreaths with their sharp, pointed leaves were chosen to represent the crown of thorns Jesus wore on the cross; their small red berries symbolize his drops of blood. Evergreen wreaths likewise signify eternal life in Him.

St. Nicholas was a real person and a real saint. He went around giving to the poor and helping others for the glory of God. I wonder what his thoughts would be on how he is perceived now?

You might think it silly, but there is a 12 Questions of Christmas on JellyTelly where each day you and your children can learn all about our Christmas traditions in just a few minutes. My family highly recommends it.
