Our culture today is confused about true love. We mix the idea or true love with seduction, attraction, fascination, lust, infatuation, etc. But the fact is that true love is one of that. According to 1 John 3:16 true love is defined as this… “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life¬†for us.” Jesus laying down His life so that we can have a relationship with God is the prefect definition of true love. In this definition we find no seduction, attraction, fascination, lust, infatuation… It’s not there. Why? Because it is not true love.

Today’s Challenge: Read 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 and write your own definition of love based solely on these verses. Then underline which aspects of love you need to work on and spend the day doing so.

MOM’s Challenge: Seriously look at how you show your husband love. Does it match the criteria God has given? In what areas of life does your husband need to know that you love him? Are you putting him before your children? I know this is hard to do, but it is a Command of God’s. How else will your children learn what a real marriage is unless they see one in their own homes. Now look at your children. How do you show them you love them? How do you show them God loves them? Find one way to show your kids that you love them and so does God. You might even make this a daily routeine.

MOMS – Have any ideas as to how to live out love to your husband? To your children that respresnts God’s love for them as well? Are you willing to share with the rest of us? Please let us know any ideas that you’ve tried and work. We’re all ears!
