Style with a message of Hope in Christ

In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not fear. What can man do to me? Psalm 56:4

Have you heard the song “Fear is a liar” by Zach Williams. It’s one of my husband’s favorites right now. It goes well with Psalm 56:4. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? Psalm 56:4

The truth is, if God has purpose in everything, then, everything that happens to me, good and bad, has a purpose. I may not know why, but one day I can ask. My desire is to remember to thank Him in the good and trust Him in the bad.

Pray For Florida

In the face of senseless tragedy, let’s resist hate. Let’s pray. Intercede for those who suffer and grieve (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Pray for them as if they were your own sisters and brothers, because they are. Ask the Spirit to help you pray and to pray through you (Romans 8:26). (Dr. Jim Denison February 15, 2018)

And, although it’s not a popular view, also pray for the shooter. The Bible tells us to love and pray for our enemies (Matthew 5:43-48). If God can change the heart of a murder like King David, and a persecutor like Paul then God can change this boys heart. He must live with the consequences of His actions, just like King David (whose family became a mess that affected all of Israel) and Paul (who suffered repeatedly for Christ so that he understood what he put his Christian brothers and sisters through) had to, but these two men did more for the cause of Christ than most.

Fear God Ad_H_1200x630.jpg

We all fear something. I’m scared of snakes, alligators sharks and deep water. But the truth is, none of these things can touch me if God tells them not to. Just like myself, my fears are part of God’s creation. They listen to Him; even the deep water. And if He says, “Don’t touch that one, she’s mine,” they will obey.

God is whom I should fear. Not like I fear snakes, but with a fearful respect of His great power and strength. Knowing that He could give me my next breath or take it away. But, most of all, I should fear that I might disappoint Him.

Psalm 34:7-9 says, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.  Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing.” (Christian Clothing Co. that represents you and your Faith.)

Faith Is Refusal to Panic

Fear not. “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.” -Isaiah 41:10

Panic comes naturally to some. But, with prayer, God’s help and repetition practice, panic can become a thing of your past.

My fears are more “what if’s”. They seem to encompass my family. But just because I fear something might happen does not mean that God will allow it to happen. I am a child of God and what happens to me and my family is only what He has allowed. He will not abandon me; I will not go through it alone. May He receive all of the glory from it and from my response to it.

John 1:12 says, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,” Our company name His-Child is based on this verse. We are children of God and our desire is to grow our family, God’s family, for His glory. We are no longer a slave to fear. We are children of God.

Can you confidently call yourself a child of God?
