Style with a message of Hope in Christ

You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. – Matthew 5:14 (MSG)

The world is a dark place and Jesus is the only light that stays lit. If you have Jesus, then you are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Don’t hide your light. I know that sharing Jesus can be tough. We worry about what others will think of us. We worry about rejection. Even when we know that it is Jesus being rejected, not us, this thought still plagues us. So, pray with me, that we will care more about what Jesus thinks of us that what others think of us.

How do you bring out “God colors” in your world? Any helpful hits to the struggling?

Good idea: Shaking hands during the greeting time at church. Bad idea: “Accidentally” spilling your coffee so you don’t have to make eye contact.

We’ll admit, greeting time can sometimes be awkward. For some, it comes naturally; for me, it doesn’t. I have to force myself to greet. I’d rather stay in my comfort zone, saying hi to my friends. But, if you think about it, if I stay in my comfort zone, that might put a new person out of their comfort zone. Who wants to feel ignored or un-wlecome? Not me. So greet someone new at your church today. Make them feel loved and wanted even if it makes you feel awkward.

I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. – Luke 2:10

Interesting thought: If you look at many of the Biblical accounts which describe an angel’s visit to someone in-order to give them a message from God, most start with a phrase similar to: Do not be afraid! If an angels appearance is so overwhelming that we are told to not be terrified; what must God’s appearance be like? Is it possible we can not see Him because we can not handel it.

Either way, I am thankful for this message God sent to the shepherds thru His angels. Good News, Great Joy and for All People. It’s the same message we now have to share with others. Who will you share it with today? (Christmas Gift location for Christians)

God and Sinners Reconciled

Joy to the world! Jesus has come and we can now approach God’s throne boldly.

“And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:18

How are you working on your task of reconciling people to God? Whom has God placed in your mission field and are you working diligently and praying constantly?

It’s Sunday and Sundays are always better with friends. Share this with someone you’d like to join you at church today!

Today is Sunday and I am going to my church to spend time with my God. Is church the only place that I spend time with God? NO Way! My current goal is to try to have on and off conversations with Him daily. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says to “pray without ceasing”. It seems impossible, but would the Bible give us a command we could never achieve? (The answer is no if you are not sure.) Prayer is a form of worship and I’m trying to involve God in my thoughts, my decisions, my questions, my fear and frustrations, my joy and thanksgiving… every aspect of my life.

When I first became a Christian in Jr. High I did talk to Him about everything. I was praying constantly, but then life got busy and I got distracted. And now in my older age I’m trying to get back to that same consistency.

What is your favorite way to worship God? Please share with us!!! (Christian Apparel that makes sharing your faith a little easier.)

We ask ourselves this question constantly throughout our lives. And each time, the answer might be a little different than the last time. We place a lot of emphasis on our identity. We are where we work, who we are married to, what responsibilities we have in our lives, who relys on us daily, what we are good at, how much money we have. I am a mom, a wife, a daughter, a friend, a student leader, an office worker, a shirt printer, etc… But that’s not really who I am, these are more of what I do.

In Matthew 16:15-16 Jesus asked Peter, “Who do you say I am?” Peter responded in verse 16, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus knew exactly who He was and spend most of His time on earth showing this to people.

To truly know who I am, I need to know who He (Jesus) is first. My identity must be found in Christ. I know who I am because I understand who HE is. Therefore, I’d like to change my answer. I am a child of the One True King. I Am Loved, watched over constantly, cared for, disciplined when I stray (as any good parent should), and forgiven when I return. And a so much more. It is because I have found my identity in Christ that I am able to be a better mom, wife, daughter, friend, leader, worker, printer, etc.

Who do you say Jesus is? (Share in the comments!) (Christian Apparel that makes sharing your faith a little easier.)

Rarely do I hear someone knocking at my door. If someone does knock, I usually know they are coming because I have invited them over to our home. So, when there is a knock at the door, and I don’t expect it, I get a little nervous. Who is it? What do they want? Why are they here? And why didn’t my dog let me know someone arrived? (Probably because he’s thinking the same things: Who is it? What do they want? Why are they here? And why didn’t my people let me know someone was coming?)

Once I opened my door to find a couple who were wanting to share their beliefs with me. I listened and prayed about how God wanted me to handle the situation and share His Son, Jesus. Our discussion lead from one thing to another and then to a tv program called JellyTelly. JellyTelly is like the Christian version of Netflix for kids and was created by the same people who make VeggieTales. (The family devotions rock!) I may have not gotten to share Jesus, but I sent them to a source, they might be willing to try, that most definitely would.

In Revelation 3:20, Jesus is knocking on our hearts door. He wants to come in, get to know each other and become friends. I pray that the family who knocked on my door will open their hearts to Jesus’ knocking.

Do you pray for the people who knock on your door? Do you ask God to help you share Jesus with them? God may be sending you your next witnessing opportunity. Don’t miss it.

Tomorrow is Sunday and for most of us Bible believing Christians that means church. I hope spending time with God and with others excites you. Sometimes we get so busy on a Sunday that we forget what we are there for, to worship God and learn to grow closer to Him.

Want to remind yourself that being together is better when it comes to worshiping God? Look at someone who doesn’t know Jesus or the blessings that come with this relationship. We become one of God’s kids, we gain a family of other believers… I could go on, but we’d be here forever (literally). Those without Jesus don’t have hope of a future. And they sure don’t have such a secure and loving body of believers there to help support and lead them. Together is so much better. That’s why God designed it that way. Hebrews 10:25 says, “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

So, my challenge to you this Saturday is to invite someone to join you at church tomorrow. Show them that together is SOOOOO much better.

List who you plan to invite so we can pray for them and for you. You don’t have to leave a name, but initials or symbols would work. God know who they are. 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 (A Christian faith based Clothing line that makes sharing your faith a little easier.)
