Style with a message of Hope in Christ

It’s Sunday and Sundays are always better with friends. Share this with someone you’d like to join you at church today!

Today is Sunday and I am going to my church to spend time with my God. Is church the only place that I spend time with God? NO Way! My current goal is to try to have on and off conversations with Him daily. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says to “pray without ceasing”. It seems impossible, but would the Bible give us a command we could never achieve? (The answer is no if you are not sure.) Prayer is a form of worship and I’m trying to involve God in my thoughts, my decisions, my questions, my fear and frustrations, my joy and thanksgiving… every aspect of my life.

When I first became a Christian in Jr. High I did talk to Him about everything. I was praying constantly, but then life got busy and I got distracted. And now in my older age I’m trying to get back to that same consistency.

What is your favorite way to worship God? Please share with us!!! (Christian Apparel that makes sharing your faith a little easier.)

We ask ourselves this question constantly throughout our lives. And each time, the answer might be a little different than the last time. We place a lot of emphasis on our identity. We are where we work, who we are married to, what responsibilities we have in our lives, who relys on us daily, what we are good at, how much money we have. I am a mom, a wife, a daughter, a friend, a student leader, an office worker, a shirt printer, etc… But that’s not really who I am, these are more of what I do.

In Matthew 16:15-16 Jesus asked Peter, “Who do you say I am?” Peter responded in verse 16, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus knew exactly who He was and spend most of His time on earth showing this to people.

To truly know who I am, I need to know who He (Jesus) is first. My identity must be found in Christ. I know who I am because I understand who HE is. Therefore, I’d like to change my answer. I am a child of the One True King. I Am Loved, watched over constantly, cared for, disciplined when I stray (as any good parent should), and forgiven when I return. And a so much more. It is because I have found my identity in Christ that I am able to be a better mom, wife, daughter, friend, leader, worker, printer, etc.

Who do you say Jesus is? (Share in the comments!) (Christian Apparel that makes sharing your faith a little easier.)

Rarely do I hear someone knocking at my door. If someone does knock, I usually know they are coming because I have invited them over to our home. So, when there is a knock at the door, and I don’t expect it, I get a little nervous. Who is it? What do they want? Why are they here? And why didn’t my dog let me know someone arrived? (Probably because he’s thinking the same things: Who is it? What do they want? Why are they here? And why didn’t my people let me know someone was coming?)

Once I opened my door to find a couple who were wanting to share their beliefs with me. I listened and prayed about how God wanted me to handle the situation and share His Son, Jesus. Our discussion lead from one thing to another and then to a tv program called JellyTelly. JellyTelly is like the Christian version of Netflix for kids and was created by the same people who make VeggieTales. (The family devotions rock!) I may have not gotten to share Jesus, but I sent them to a source, they might be willing to try, that most definitely would.

In Revelation 3:20, Jesus is knocking on our hearts door. He wants to come in, get to know each other and become friends. I pray that the family who knocked on my door will open their hearts to Jesus’ knocking.

Do you pray for the people who knock on your door? Do you ask God to help you share Jesus with them? God may be sending you your next witnessing opportunity. Don’t miss it.

Who was the last person to knock on your door? (Christian Apparel that helps you share you faith without saying a word.)

Tomorrow is Sunday and for most of us Bible believing Christians that means church. I hope spending time with God and with others excites you. Sometimes we get so busy on a Sunday that we forget what we are there for, to worship God and learn to grow closer to Him.

Want to remind yourself that being together is better when it comes to worshiping God? Look at someone who doesn’t know Jesus or the blessings that come with this relationship. We become one of God’s kids, we gain a family of other believers… I could go on, but we’d be here forever (literally). Those without Jesus don’t have hope of a future. And they sure don’t have such a secure and loving body of believers there to help support and lead them. Together is so much better. That’s why God designed it that way. Hebrews 10:25 says, “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

So, my challenge to you this Saturday is to invite someone to join you at church tomorrow. Show them that together is SOOOOO much better.

List who you plan to invite so we can pray for them and for you. You don’t have to leave a name, but initials or symbols would work. God know who they are. 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 (A Christian faith based Clothing line that makes sharing your faith a little easier.)

My mom asked her 4th grade Sunday School class to list things they were afraid of. The one listed by almost every child was fear of the dark. I must admit, the first thing I do when I get home from work is turn on the kitchen light. Even as adults we have a sense of uneasiness when we can’t see. (How many times by habit do you flip the light switch when the electricity is off?!) I think that is why it is so comforting to know that Jesus is the Light of the World. In Him there is no darkness. It’s like having night vision googles when we trust in The Lord. He has made us this promise. All we have to do is follow Him.

How well are you staying in the light? Are you following close enough to see the path He has for you? Are you close enough to Him for others to see The Light in you?

💡💡💡💡Share with us one thing can you do today to shine a bit brighter? 💡💡💡💡

Then Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

A common thread in times of trouble

When I look at Bible Events, I can see a common thread in times of trouble. When Ester approached the king to ask him a favor he extended his scepter. When Nehemiah asked the king to return to his homeland so he could rebuild it, the king said yes. When Elisha saw a servant in distress over a lost axe, it floated to the top of the water. When the world needed a Savior, He came as a baby.
In all these situations, small and big alike, you could say “Love has come!” God’s hand was in it all because of His great love for His people. Next time you need help in a situation, look to the Lord so you can also say ”Love has come.”
