Style with a message of Hope in Christ

As of December 23,  is closed for Winter Vacation.

We will be taking time to spend with family and God. We hope that you get to spend this time with your family too.

Rest assured, we will re-open  on December 29th.

Luke 2:8-14

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Merry Christmas from our His-Child family to yours.

O Holy Night

Over 2000 years ago, Mary and Joseph made the journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. They likely traveled with a caravan of other travelers, perhaps with others returning for the census for the safety and companionship of traveling in numbers. We don’t know exactly what route they took—perhaps the shorter but more demanding walk along the trade route through the center of the region, or perhaps the flatter way through the Jordan River Valley. Regardless of the route, the approximately 100-mile trip would have taken them 8-10 long days of walking. This must have been a scary journey for young, pregnant Mary.

While we celebrate the birth of Jesus in December, some scholars believe it is more likely that he was born in September, so Mary and Joseph may have journeyed in the oppressive heat of July or August.

Today, visitors can walk this route for themselves, called the Nativity Trail, and was developed by Palestinians. The trail begins in Nazareth, hometown of Mary, and stretched straight down through the West Bank to Bethlehem, the city of Jesus’ birth. (

Silent Night

Have you ever wondered how far apart each of the events of Jesus’ birth story took place. Have you ever asked when the shepherds showed compared to the wise men? How little was Jesus when his family visited the temple and Simeon and Anna saw Jesus? And how old was he when his family fled to Egypt? Not all of these things took place when Jesus was a newborn or even an infant. Some happened in His toddler years. We’ll if you are curious, here is a great place to see a plausible Christmas timeline that makes sense and works well with the information given in the Bible: A Matter Of Time (Christian Apparel that represents You and Your Faith.)

The immortal God is born, so that mortal man may live in eternity. – Jan Has

God gave up His mortality so we could gain.

Did you realize that your eternity begins the moment you accept Christ as Lord and Savior of your life. Yes, the physical will die, but your soul will live on. Jesus, who is immortal, came to earth and experienced all the suffering of birth, life and death. He didn’t have to, He wanted to. Why? So that the mortal, you and me, might live in eternity with Him. That’s what I call love! (Christian Home Decor that represent you and your faith)

Glory to the newborn king

Peace on earth and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled.

Many of us can sing this song without thinking. We’ve heard it many times over many years. But it is full of truth; at least this portion of the song is. Our sin caused a chasm, a ravine between us and God. God can not be near sin and we are sinners, thus, God can’t be near us. Jesus’ birth was the first step to resolving this problem. And thru His death God and sinners were reconciled (restore friendly relations between). That is, if we choose to be. Is your sin keeping you from God? Or, have you been reconciled? I am proud to say that I have been reconciled! This week, my husband and I are excited to say that, our son choose to be reconciled too! Jesus lives in his heart now. Glory to the King! (Christian Decals that represent you and your faith)

Funny Christmas Meme on King Herod

Another Christmas funny that made me laugh and I thought I’d shares it with you. There might be more truth to this than we know. King Herod was a great builder, but also known as a mad man. He executed one of his 10 wives and three of his 14 children, and ordered the murder of young male children in his quest to kill the baby Jesus.  Yes, the same baby Jesus marked by a giant star. (Christian Shirts that represent you and your faith)

God with us

“Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him Emmanuel,” which means “God with us.” – Matthew 1:23

Prophecy: The Messiah Will Be Born Of A Virgin

Isaiah 7:14 – “All right then, the Lord Himself will choose the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call Him Immanuel – ‘God is with us.’”

Isaiah 9:6-7 – “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. And the government will rest on His shoulders. These will be His royal titles: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His ever expanding, peaceful government will never end. He will rule forever with fairness and justice from the throne of His ancestor David. The passionate commitment of the Lord Almighty will guarantee this!”

About the Prophecy of Isaiah

The prophet Isaiah lived in Jerusalem in the eighth century B.C. The book of Isaiah is one of the four major prophetic books in the Old Testament, along with Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel. Chapter 7 of Isaiah was written about 735 B.C. King Ahaz was on the throne and Isaiah was sent with the message that God was sending Judah a sign – this sign would be a child called “God is with us.”

The Fulfillment

Matthew 1:20-23 – “As he considered this, he fell asleep, and an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. ‘Joseph, son of David,’ the angel said, ‘do not be afraid to go ahead with your marriage to Mary. For the child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.’ All of this happened to fulfill the Lord’s message through His prophet: ‘Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and He will be called Immanuel (meaning, God is with us).’” (A Christian store that represents You and Your Faith.)
